Candle Characteristics: Over time the essential oils may affect the ivory color of the wax. Slight ripples or pinholes in the surface indicate that the soy wax is hand poured instead of by a machine. Soy wax may develop a flakey top over time. This can happen in wax that is 100% soy. All wax types are capable of pulling away from their glass containers which is called "shrinkage" and can have a bubbled or wet appearance. This is not an indication of a defect.
